This project is a second odyssey, not at sea but on land, A homothety : That of Ulysses’ journey from the Mediterranean Sea to the North East of the United States: from Troy to Ithaca, two cities in Upstate New York.
In 1924 Victor Bérard, a Hellenist and geographer, published his translation of the Odyssey, in the appendix of which he sketched a map of Ulysses’ navigations.
A century later, we will follow this trajectory onto the American soil to find what we are not yet looking for…
